String Capping is a component of balustrade fitted to the top of closed stringer staircases. Being the lower part of Rake balustrade it is normally grooved to support balusters fitted between fillets. Our entire String Capping range includes the fitted timber fillet to suit your groove and timber type. String Capping can also be known as String Cap, or simply Capping.
Our String Capping is available in all species is of SELECT grade quality. It’s relatively clear and free of defects, however there can be small amounts of gum vein, surface checking (splits), knots and black specks within the SELECT grading. Such defects will not be considered if a refund is requested.
