Timber being a natural product and hydroscopic (balances moisture content of its surrounding environment) it can move slightly. At iBuildStore we moisture check all of our material at delivery stage, we will not work with any timber if it falls outside the range of 9-12%. This is not a defect or manufacture issue. The vertical slats can also move slightly (bow), being a natural timber product this is not considered a defect. All slats are quality checked at the time of manufacture and anything with more than a 5mm bow per 1000mm will be rejected. It is possible that material destination may have an enviroment outside of 9-12% moisture content (you can expect the material to balance to it's environment).

If you have any exposed timber fixing holes you can always order our very popular tapered timber plugs in the same material as your screens. We have many sizes available.
